Parks
Today's theme parks are not just places to find
thrill rides. Music and stage entertainment fans will find a wide range of both
stage and street shows, there's fine dining and entire sections of kid-friendly
rides.
Based on 2008 attendance records, the top five parks in the United States were
Disney World, Disneyland, SeaWorld (Orlando), Busch Gardens (Tampa) and
Universal Studios (Orlando).
Occupying about 25,000 acres, Walt Disney World is located in its own cities,
Lake Buena Vista and Bay Lake, near Orlando, Florida.
Along with the themed areas such as the Magic Kingdom and Epcot, Disney World
also features the BoardWalk, Wedding Pavilion, Wide World of Sports, Speedway,
full-size and miniature golf courses, catch-and-release fishing, watercraft and
surrey bike rentals, cruises, two water parks and 24 themed hotels.
Disneyland, the first Disney park, was the only one Walt Disney was able to see
completed. Once inside a themed area of the park, visitors can neither see nor
hear the other areas allowing for full immersion.
California Advenure is unique to Disneyland. Soar over California in a
one-of-a-kind aerial view of the natural wonders. Check out the Monsters Inc.
ride, Toy Story Mania, the Pixar Play Parade or sing along with High School
Musical 3: Senior Year.
Universal Studios Florida and Universal's Islands of Adventure transport
visitors into their favorite movies, cartoons, stories and more through shows,
rides and interactive attractions.
SeaWorld, Orlando, offers a flying roller coaster that is one-of-a-kind. Manta
riders are strapped to the belly of an iron Manta and ride head first, face down
at highway speeds.
Coming off their 50-year anniversary, Busch Gardens
offers broadway-style shows, more than 2,500 exotic and endangered animals, and
the most record-breaking roller coasters in the state.
Take your family on the utlimate vacation escape by visiting a theme park.
